Serve, Love, Give, Purify, Meditate, Realize

Serve, Love, Give, Purify, Meditate, Realize,

Be Good, Do Good, Be Kind, Be Compassionate

- song/chant written by Swami Vishnudevananda

Swami Vishnudevananda was a disciple of Swami Sivananda Saraswati.  He founded the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres and Ashrams, where I studied.

I think it’s a nice mantra.  I sing it in class.  Along with the “Gayatri Mantra” and many others.  I usually follow my intuition — whatever the room needs.

Mantras are a powerful way of keeping the mind one-pointed.  Pointed to Positivity and Meditation.

I hope you have one.  A word, or a string of words.

Beautiful to hear that! Thanks for sharing Alan!
A beautiful chant Tey, always soothing and perfectly peaceful, sometimes we need that like my hike today peaceful and it being one of Highest hikes I’ve taken, you really have to control your Breathing, some didn’t and they were out of breath too fast and it is challenging hike, but I realize a lot of things on most hikes people are kind and caring I gave a bottle of water to the lady that wasn’t breathing good and everyone stayed with her till she got better so compassion comes into play on everything we do love more no hate, no room no time for hate! Have a great day
