My classmates and I avoided Velvet Taco located in the Gold Coast area of Chicago today because it’s Cinco De Mayo.  

What does Cinco De Mayo mean to us who do not have direct ties with Mexico?  Surely, in a way, we all do.  And I suppose it’s a way to support our friends who do have ties.  But is it really just another reason to consume a Bunch alcohol?  I don’t know!

I suppose alcohol isn’t worse than consumption of Sugar.  Or Fatty foods.  What do you think?
